I hope that you will find some of these tips helpful if you are lacking in sleep and rest. But before we get into how to fix it, let’s learn a little bit more about sleep and why it is so important to have good sleep!
This is what can cause a sleep disorder:
Brain and nervous system issues
Emotional disorders (depression, chronic stress, worry)
Alcohol and Substance use
We need sleep to help us:
healing damaged cells
boosting your immune system
Recover and process the day’s activities
Recharge your heart and cardiovascular system for the next day
If we don’t get this good night sleep over time we can become drowsy and moody. Our brain will struggle to take in new information and concentrate. We also tend to gain weight as we crave fatty foods. Over time the long term effects can be damaging to our immune system.
